Illawarra Sleep Medicine Centre was the first comprehensive paediatric and adult sleep medicine service in the Illawarra and South Coast region, with our state-of-the-art sleep laboratory and education centre with adjacent consultation rooms.
Illawarra Sleep Medicine Centre was the first private Paediatric Sleep Medicine Service in Australia operating since 1994. In 2014 ISMC moved to its current location in Kenny Street opening 2 state of the art Sleep Laboratories in the Illawarra. A six bed unit is located on site at the Specialist Centre in Kenny Street Wollongong and operates Monday to Friday. A 4 bed unit is available at Figtree Private Hospital operating Monday to Friday. Our Figtree Private Unit has recently achieved NATA Accreditation. The accreditation highlights the excellence and quality of our service from consultation, sleep study if necessary, reporting and diagnosis. Treatment set up, education and management of your disorder is structured to ensure patients achieve the best outcomes from their therapy. Illawarra Sleep Medicine sleep units are staffed by Registered Nurses with many years’ experience as certified Sleep Technicians.
