Dr Terry Sands graduated in Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 1984 and specialised in Paediatric Medicine training at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children at Camperdown, Sydney and at the Sydney Childrens Hospital in Randwick, Sydney. Dr Sands furthered his studies in Bristol, England before returning to Australia and completing his training in 1991 becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Sands has practiced Paediatric Medicine in the Illawarra for over 20 years and is a VMO at Wollongong Public Hospital.
Dr Sands main interests include the effects of abnormal sleep on childhood behaviour and learning, as well as the genetics of sleep disorders.
Please note that Dr Sands will no longer be seeing patients over 17 years.

Andrew Jones is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician who trained at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals in Sydney. He is a Senior Staff Specialist and current Head of Department in Respiratory Medicine at Wollongong Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wollongong. Andrew's practice covers a wide range of Respiratory and Sleep Disorders including COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Interstitial Lung Disease and a wide range of Sleep conditions. His specific clinical and research interests are in the Diagnosis and Management of Lung Cancer including Endobronchial Ultrasound, Asthma and treatments for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea other than CPAP therapy.
Dr Bradley Martin

Dr Brad Martin is a Staff Specialist in Sleep Medicine at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. Dr Martin graduated in Medicine with first class honours from the University of Sydney and later completed a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) degree there. He completed his Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine training through Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and has also worked at John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle.
Dr Chris Brereton

Dr Chris Brereton is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician, and is currently a Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine at Wollongong Hospital.
After graduating Medicine with Distinction from the University of Newcastle he completed his respiratory training at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, before undertaking his sleep training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. He embarked on a Clinical Research Fellowship in Respiratory Medicine in Southampton UK, where he was awarded his PhD in Interstitial Lung Disease.
Chris has a broad scope of practice in respiratory and sleep disorders including pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, COPD, lung cancer, insomnia, narcolepsy, and sleep apnoea.
