Sleep Studies

Disruption to the quality and or quantity of your sleep directly impacts upon daytime function affecting mood, concentration and memory.

A sleep study is important because it has been shown that sleep disorders increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, stroke and diabetes. We sleep one third of our life. When we sleep poorly our daytime functioning is significantly impaired. With a sleep study, we can test and record your sleep patterns and how your body functions.

The test is called Polysomnography (PSG) and is the gold standard for diagnosing sleep disorders from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to somnambulism (sleep walking).

Other tests we can perform are Bi Level Titration Studies, CPAP Titration Studies, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefullness Tests (MWT).
